Another busy week on the breedables front. Updates to versions for both the turtles and beta bunnies under test, more beta bunny news, and more products to delight the breedable fans.
Petable Turtles
On Tuesday and Wednesday last week Petable Turtles underwent some updates, firstly with new affiliate vendors being sent out with SL permission fixes, and laterly with a minor update to the Turtles themselves. This update was not rolled out but made available to all turtle owners concurrently via the normal update mechanism.
Version: 01.04.00
The update, to Version 01.04.00 included some bug fixes and some changes to allow for the new home objects which would be included with the upcoming home tool.
The new ‘Home’ function was rolled out on Friday, released by the Turtle Trader. It can be found free by anybody picking up the Petable Turtles Freebies pack (available from the Petable shop). Inside you will find the new Home setter mechanism – it comes in the form of a colour/texture change mushroom. This can be used to set the circular distance turtles can roam within the home range, and once set, the turtles become non-physical -hovering across at the height and range set of the mushroom.
This is a major improvement to Petable Turtles, as non-physical turtles thus avoid collisions. However, it can make for some interesting images of turtles within turtles or within other objects inside their home range.
HunnyBunny Bunnies
On Thursday the 26th HunnyBunny provided an announcement towards the delays in beta over October. This was explained due to the head coder having swine flu for a significant period of time, and he is wished the best in his recovery. A new head coder, Fumon Kubo, has now been welcomed onto the team officially, and successfully introduced the M1 Beta release of last Tuesday.
The blog and in-world information also hints at M2 Beta being released in the upcoming days, with another 15 random avatars being drawn to add to the beta testing group.
Further on in the week, an update group announcement was sent out requesting Bunnies-themed gifts from third-party creators, in expectation for the opening party to celebrate the movement to Open Beta for HunnyBunny bunnies. Although the date wasn’t nominated, the communication was optimistic towards the Open Beta phrase and party happening soon, celebrated on the Bunnies SIM.

Ozimals Bunnies
Remaining in Open Beta, the P4V1.3 Ozimals poofed away overnight Sunday, ready for the next release to come. In between, Sasafras sent out a bunny pet in a jar to hold to all the Beta Testers.
Soon to come – version P4V1.4 within open beta, with a few new features and bug fixes from previous beta versions.
