Drama Dolls are a newish item to send to loved ones experiencing some Second Life drama. Not long ago, anyone registered across some DSN channels were sent a free one to try out. The dolls can be named and sent with a message to your loved one, and when rezzed out will give this message in chat with some animations.
The latest drama dolls out are available now for sionChicken drama queens (or victims). There are three different styles –
- The Chicken Breeder who is obviously styled after the sionChicken creator himself, Sion Zaius, who has an avatar whch looks like a little bald alien.
- The Chicken Farmer – a blonde girl doll in overalls.
- The Chicken Reseller, looking like a male farmer (kind of).
They are on special at the moment at L$350 each. Most of the sionChicken world has certainly been caught up in a lot of drama lately, but this non-blonde girl chicken farmer might well enjoy having a voodoo doll chicken creator to throw a dart at on occasion.
Some traces of some of the [latest] drama remain across blogs and the web. I personally missed some of this, but caught the tail end of most of it in group chat which drove me crazy. However, I count myself lucky that as a hobbyist I’ve always followed the protocols and updated my own chickens to lagless as soon as possible, and therefore have not been affected by some of the errors which have affected other larger farmers.
I, however, do feel for those who have lost faith in the sionChicken industry as a business. When I lost my first purchased scarces over the weekend that Second Life was basically reset, I felt that financial loss myself. However, I’ve also sat amazed as so-called professional chicken resellers have name-called and jibed at others across the sionChicken in-world groups, leading to bannings, and group disbandenment. There remain victims and culprits on all sides, it seems.
So, if you have a loved one who has been dramatized by all this, consider the chicken drama dolls.
