Earlier on I posted a quick blog on the bug hunt at Cutie Honey. Whilst at that SIM hunting down fairies and bugs with my net and bucket, I was stopped several times by people enquiring into where I got my Avi from. I remember having a similar request or two the last time I put on a faun outfit. As promised, this post will provide the credits for what I’m wearing today for those who have asked.
This deer avatar is an enhanced version of my faun of last July. Take a look at that one, for some nice horns and a front loin cloth.
This week I’ve put together a slightly different look, as I’m thinking towards the upcoming Fantasy Faire on behalf of RFL. I am blogging for that event also, so that’s why you are likely to find me in all sorts of fantasy themed avatar looks over the next month or so.
Note: the avatar look here is one cogged together through several items from quite a few designers. I’ve also got some recommendations for you for some others you may want to consider. And don’t forget to look at the original post of July last year for even more accessories to this avi.
Pacific’s Deer Stylecard
Skin : Oh Deer! Basic Nomi 4 from Panda Express This skin provides the basic brown spots on the torso, and chest and the pale spots across the nose and cheekbones. It also gives the stomach area that white gleam as found on a faun. There are four tones available for L$600 each. There is also a tribal version of the same skin – tribal has war stripes on the cheeks.
Ears : Sad Elf – Tribal from Panda Express. These ears are decorated with feathers and studs, and droop down. They match the horns, and were wide enough to stick out of my hair (a consideration when you have big hair).
Horns : Oh Deer Tribal Antlers from Panda Express. This set of antler horns have blue tribal feathers and silver detailing.
Deer Tail : From a full Fauna Avatar by Leonine (comes with hooves, skin, tail, ears, shape, and eyes)
Deer Legs (upper) and Bottom: Fauna Avatar Pants Addon Layer by Leonine. Used if you don’t want to overwrite your own skin while using the darling legs and furry bottom shown here.

Also consider :
- Panda Express. also has a set of Oh Deer ears which work well with this outfit – if I had closer cropped hair – the deer ears stick up in brown velvetry fur. Very sweet.
- Other good colour-change elf ears (with studs or without) can be found at Needful Things or Elfpyre
- Antler horns are reasonably common to find nowadays across the grid, so you probably have a favourite pair already. However, if you’re still looking – consider the many from the Fa(u)ntasy Collection at Needful Things – many also have matching tails and/or faun ears; or the rounded horns from Illusions
- For a different top which goes well, but covers up the deer skin more, Silent Sparrow currently has three deer tops (with a deer on the back) which you may see across the blogosphere lately.
