Fantasy Fashion Files | Introduction

FantasyFashionFile Intro

Firstly, I’m celebrating the re-appearance of my own Aunt in Second Life. She’s been MIA lately, having not taken the loss of some valuable assets to Second Life limbo very well a couple of weeks ago. But now that Aunt Audrie seems reasonably back on board, I’ll have more time to look at some of the latest in fashions.

I’m starting off with opening a file of intermittant postings based on my own likes – fantasy fashions. You will find these under the FFF Heading (Fantasy Fashion Files) with a file number also. Each post will also be tagged as such (fantasy fashion file), to allow a quick search. And you will also find each entry added to an index for the FFFs under the Second Life main menu on the blog.

I collected a good number of these over the course of the Fantasy Faire 2009, and have since started out on the latest Cute Kitty (Neko) hunt, and also gotten more into cyber-fashions and steampunk. I also have a fair number of mermaid outfits, one an exclusive won through the auctions at Fantasy Faire. And I’m not afraid to turn up to public events in them, either. Or shopping in them, for that matter.

Now, it’s debatable whether I should be classifying Neko as being ‘fantasy’. However, I am more normally a standard human type avatar, so when I do dress up as a kitty, it’s more towards a fantasy role than anything. I don’t, for instance, live in a typical kitten type environment – either grungy or with cat-themed furniture. But I do enjoy putting on tails and whiskers and ears, and often do dress as a cat. But when I do become a kitty – or anything else, I tend to lay on the whole theme quite thickly, and spend a lot of time sourcing the best designers and creators in that fantasy theme. So, forgive me my inclusion of any Neko attire into the Fantasy Fashion Files for the moment.

The FFFs will be simply photo-themed posts. You will get the title of the assemble, a style-card of where to get the outfits and accessories, and also links to any locations used for the photo-shoots.
