More Turtle Habitats and FAQs

After blogging about the first turtle habitat which came out for Petable Turtles, I’ve discovered a new marketplace with a few *cute* other habitats available. I’ve also created another FAQ page with some questions on Petable Turtles. And now, there is also a growing list of Turtle shops and markets onboard here at The Chicken Diaries.

The Boxed Turtle of Avalar holds a couple of empty market stalls at the moment and a few cute habitats (pens) for Petable Turtles. You can find a turtle soup pan sitting over fire, containing some display Petable Turtles, and a celery stick and carrot, of course.

Emmalyne’s Turtle Habitat with prim water is also for sale there, so I feel honoured to have tried out one of the first of these.

There is also another Mock Turtle Soup habitat which contains several sitting animations on the giant soup spoon so that you can sit there admiring your turtles, a Kidney Bean shaped pool habitat with Palm Tree, and two different inside Turtle Terraniums, useful for breeding pairs. Oh, and a L$5 giant can of Avalar’s condensed Mock Turtle soup.

I purchased the Mock Turtle soup bowl to house my males away from my females, and a black terranium. The Terranium by Sapphira Laval is copyable, allowing me to put out several per breeding pair if I need to.

I’m sure this is only the start of the secondary market for the new AI pets, Petable Turtles in Second Life. Already Avalar looks setup to be marketing turtle eggs and accessories, and one main previously sionChicken market, The Farm Ltd has already confirmed that Turtles can be sold via that outlet.

As we are not designers here at The Chicken Diaries, we decided we can’t create for this upcoming market, but we can certainly support it with our own writings. To honour our own newly growing understanding of Petable Turtles, I have now put together the start of another FAQ page dedicated towards these, and as the secondary market develops I will add to this with list pages and reviews.
