I thought it about time to feature another turtle market I frequent back to regularly, and it’s also excellent timing towards the recent arrivals of third generation eggs for Petable Turtles, and their jewel colourings.
Turtle World of Thorne Eberhart Farmer’s Market is a small area set aside from the sionChicken markets. When you land there, you’ll arrive in the Chicken market. Turn around and walk through to the special turtle area. These are very quiet and peaceful markets – no garish signs, and the dark wood of the stalls leads to this tranquility, along with some nice middle decorating with small ponds and barrow stalls.
The stalls there generally contain boxed eggs and lives. There are a few accessory vendors scattered around, but with the dark wood of the large stalls, the market is an excellent environment to profile the new third generation of Petable Turtle eggs. These have started being produced only this week, and the colourings are moving more and more into the spectacular range, and now with mixed colours on turtle bodies, and shells.

BK shows a good range of 3rd Generation Turtle Eggs - note the rose/green coloured turtle on the far right.
Some of the stalls have such a spread of third generation colours that I found one of them attractive myself. Noticably, the turtles and eggs produced very recently – with mixtures of colourings between their shells and bodies; are fetching slightly more money than V2 or original turtles. The older versions were going for L$100, but a nicely coloured 3rd generation – which are two steps away from the Petable grandparents (and risk of in-breeding) – are priced at this market at L$140.
Notice the lilac and pure blue tones, plus glowing oranges now being produced with the third generation of Petables.
Once you’ve finished in the first area for turtles, find the walkway through to another turtle section. There, fewer stalls are occupied as yet, but the turtles and eggs available are just as much a rainbow of colours.
