It was a quiet news week for all breedable animals in Second Life this last week, with nothing much happening on the sionLife / sionChickens front, and no changes for Petable Turtles. The Bunnies (both brands) also remained in beta test phases.
Ozimals Bunnies
Beta Testing
- On Friday beta testers received Phase 2 Version 4.8 bunnies to test. This successfully found some bugs (the whole point of beta) and Version 4.9 was released over Friday-Saturday.
- On Sunday night we received news via groups that the Open public Beta would commence from 7pm Monday 12th October. Bunnies can be picked up by anybody from a purchase through xStreet (updated information)
- However, the release of open beta scheduled for this time did not happen, and has been delayed to allow a few problems to be sorted out, including problems with Second Life itself. We are scheduled for a communication update later on the day today.
Ozimals Gifts
- Each beta pack for Ozimals Beta Testers has included some form of gift <3 from the Ozimals team – love cushions, an Ozimals Bunny Crossin Sign, and lately a bunny shoulder pet.
- The Ozimals Groups have lately been gifted from individuals also – a bunny gesture from Fujintaka, and a tank T-Shirt from Callie Cline.
- Candy Cerveau also sent out a box full of Ozimals signs this last weekend.

HunnyBunny Bunnies
- The whole week went by silently from HB quarters, until Friday when a quick group message was sent out to the update group, informing us that HunnyBunny remained in Beta.
- This message was later re-iterated through an update on the HB Blog, and the front page of the website – which now suggests a late October release date.
- HunnyBunny now has a Facebook site, and is on Twitter. These have been added to The Chicken Diaries Info page kept on HunnyBunny

Petable Turtles
- There was a nice stability about the Petable Turtles breedables this last week, with very little news.
- Many with turtles from the beginning were busy trying to breed into Generation 4 or even 5 to get to the famed ‘ shine’ value for a turtle, but Grim Hathor’s information on this shine factor seems to indicate it isn’t necessarily expected through generations.
- An update overnight last night indicates that behind the scenes both Grim and Matthew are plotting some new features and surprises for the turtles.
sionChickens & sionLife
- Last week saw sionChickens targeted by griefers again – The Farm group announced that the Digital Worlds group had been up to griefing again, having targeted the Zilla SIM – where they were stopped. The Chickens SIM was also griefed, with potential off-world sends (and the deaths of those chickens griefed in this way).
- The weekend found us with an announcement that sionLife is now on Facebook.
