Evie’s Closet has just brought out a new outfit simply entitled Whimsy. This is a little fairy number, available in several colourways, and it comes complete with stockings, little ballet shoes, wings, and for a limited time, an ‘Oops’.
Now, normally I would stay away from faery outfits. Like many before me, my entry into second life came with an initial noob perchant for fairy wings – just because I suddenly could. I went out in my first few days and spent all the lindens I was allowed on a very decent scripted pair of wings, but a noob fairy I still stayed. As my avatar and second life character became more defined, the fae look was quickly dropped, and occasionally replaced with other fantasy creatures of perhaps more demonic nature. So, I’ve long tried to forget my own fae nooby background.
But Evie’s Closet Faery Whimsy is slightly more than that. The bodice of this outfit is nice enough to make a good top with other skirts or jeans. The wings sit nicely across the back, and the stockings, at least in the black and white outfit of my own choice, well – they’re actually punky enough to be useful in other outfits also. Overall, the outfit is cute but urban, and mixed with some commando boots, or other fashion, make an excellent choice. Plus, occasionally I might really want to re-live my fae past and flit around the office wearing this one. The Faery Whimsy outfit is available in Red & Orange, Black & White, Purple, Green or Blue.
And what’s an ‘Oops’, then? If you hurry to purchase this outfit at Evie’s Closet it currently comes with a matching Oops. You can see the slight mistake hanging out of my mouth. She doesn’t taste nice at all – I imagine it’s akin to eating a butterfly.
