SL Fashion | Feeling More Wintry

by PacificBlue on November 30, 2009

Here are another couple of Winter ensembles, using some of the latest items out. I like greys and particularly white for winter, and these are a couple of favourite outfits with a bit of a twist.

Monochromatic Fawn

Grey Fawn

Using the Santa grey T-Shirt which came from Prim & Pixel Paradise’s outfit (posted previously) as a basis, I added some new touches. The puffa jacket, leggings and fawn snow boots are brand new out at Epic. The horns with little snow bird are from Needful Things, and the dazzling belt is the Kunstkammer offered in the Fifty Linden Black Friday sales of last Friday.

The Fawn snow boots (you can get a non-hooved version as well) give off snowflake particles when you walk, and there is also a version in the pack with snow sounds – they sound like you’re stomping through a veritable mountain of snow (or perhaps gravel). The socks are colour-change too.

Snow Bunny White

BO Hammersgaard Winter Outfit

This is actually a gorean outfit from the talented Black Orchid stable, and has been around a while. The full Hammersgaard Winter outfit comes with the most fantastic snow walkers, but I swapped these out for some furry snow boots – in rabbit. The outfit itself can have the snow walkers taken off leaving the furry boots alone. Yes, sacrilidge to those like me who are breeding AI bunnies, I know. But I am morally okay with wearing pixel furs because they are as virtual and faux as far as you can go. No actual bunnies died to make these boots (or hopefully the large fur cape which comes with the ensemble for that matter).

One of these images shows you the full ensemble with snow shoes, cape, and knife belt. The outfit also comes with frost breath attachment – it makes it look cold even when you’re snuggly in your house. Nice!

The outfit comes with cloak, mittens, fingerless gloves,  two different pants, the changeable snow-shoes, the skirts with belts, a suede undershirt and the textured sweater with polo neck. It’s a very versatile ensemble and can go from quite royal to something quite okay for simply walking around the grid in.In fact, I took the sweater, mittens and added in some leggings and a pair of proper rabbit boots from Black Orchid to make a very casual winter outfit for my final piece.
