I first discovered Kabuki whilst on the ProPosers hunt. At the time, the memory wasn’t that great – there was a naked couple going at it in one of the sex-beds upstairs. But now was a better time to go take a much more honest look at what Kabuki offers to pose lovers.
Lovers being the operative word – the store is full of couples poses and props and furniture for lovers.
It wasn’t quite the time for me to go there alone, but I wasn’t the only one – at the time of my visit there were five or so other solo females tping in, perhaps taking part in one of the many hunts Kabuki is participating in.
Kabuki has a nice offering of free poses and gestures, set out in boxes arranged at the back of the store. I managed to pick up a headless halloween animation from the boxed selection. People who put Zabuki into their picks also get rewards, and there is an MM board also. In fact, Kabuki appears very generous in its range of freebies and hunt gifts.
Currently Kabuki is participating in several hunts, including the Dark Katz hunt, the Pumpkin Prints Hunt, and the Halloween Hunt Resurrected. Coming up, it will be involved in the second Make Him Over Hunt, starting 15th October, and the Shining Stars hunt in November.
Going around the store, I managed to locate three different hunt icons and picked up three pose prizes. Walking into the store, I was greeted by the owner of Kabuki who offered me a pose gift simply for being there. And then there’s the Relay for Life Hope Hunt, in which the store is participating. The store has put out 25 pink roses to find, and believe it or not – I eventually found all of them. Through finding them, different Kabuki poses are offered once you’ve found a certain number of roses.
All up, without spending a penny / dime on any poses I could have left the store with 9 different hunt gifts of poses – and that doesn’t count the halloween freebies I picked up from the freebie boxes, nor any pick rewards or MM prizes which may come later.
I felt a little guilty about this, so purchased a less amorous couples pose for myself. But then I realised that I would be back in-store with my cousin, Black soon enough while going around on the Make Him Over Hunt II, and then we would be able to test out some of those couples poses together. Having witnessed a few couples already doing so in-store during my visit, I can say that the poses are very professionally done, and extremely intimate without being overtly erotic (aside from having witnessed the sex-bed being used in anger on my other visit).
One of the prizes I received is a pose / prop set called Everlasting Love. This is a couples ball set, and you get a free wall prop with it. As an example of the quality of these poses, the wall itself is texture change with several wall textures to choose from, and the poseballs contain two different poses in them, and scripted controls for face animations on or off. The poseballs themselves can be unlinked to adjust each individual position, allowing for different sized avatars. You can also show the poseballs. All commands are via a local chat channel. All of the pose creations from Kabuki offer similar quality pose options.
Kabuki also has an excellent range of love / cuddles HUDs. One of the best sellers is a massage table which comes with the table, a menu hud, 7 exotic massage poses and on/off facial expressions. At only 6 prims I decided I could afford to purchase this for my meditation hut back home. Rugs, cuddle walls, bathtubs, a very nice couples artist canvas and equipment, cuddle sofa animations and cuddle huds – Kabuki does it all.
For photographers looking for some nice couple poses and props, or for those looking for some loved-in furniture for their homes, Kabuki Creations is a good source to add to your landmark collection.
