Previously having featured prefab landscaping little gardens, join me in my quest now for the best prefab vegetable, herbal and backyard kitchen gardens readymade (or easily made) for your own garden and photography needs.
There are too many to list here, and too many I ended up choosing, so I’ve broken this up into three posts. This is Part II, featuring Shade, A Random xStreetSL find and Wrigglesworth.
Shade Veggie Patch and Battered Greenhouse
I previously profiled the Shade Veggie Patch on The Chicken Diaries blog. At 73 prims, it’s a little more hefty compared to others, but is finely detailed. The Shade veggie patch comes with vegetables already planted, and pose balls for two animations – which disperse the required tools – a hoe or a cultivator. Available for L$350.
There is also a separate greenhouse available called the Battered Greenhouse. 31 prims, highly detailed, and for L$300. This comes with broken glass, but a workable and lockable door. With built in benches to hold flower plants or anything else, this Greenhouse would actually make quite a good pen for say, bunnies or something.
And while I’m there, because it probably won’t fit into any other catergory, there’s always the animated Shabby Outhouse for L$300. It makes noises, and for whatever reason – a lockable door!
Shade – Apple Pickin’ Tree – for L$350 you will get an apple tree that you’ll not want to put away. It drops leaves and apples, and provides a pose for anybody to pick apples from it. Not only that, but on touch the tree gives you apple picking gear – a sack worn around your waist, a scarf and apple. A decorative pail of apples is an additional option. Thankfully all options can be turned on or off, because the sound with the apples dropping can get annoying after some time.
Shade – Make Your own Garden – Shade has a lot to offer in building your own gardens from scratch, from 1 Prim highly detailed sculpted flowers, to burlap soil bags, soil mounds with a shovel, sprinkler systems, and burlap sack plants and slatting. Of course, the meadow grass and sculpted grasses at Shade are to die for also. And there are fall leaf piles, haystacks, beehives, wishing wells, mushrooms of various sizes (with sit poses), and the outdoor scenes such as tents, campfires and fishing sets.

Rosalind Loves to Garden – Herbs, Flowers or Tomatoes
From Wrigglesworth (Aunty’s favourites) comes these fabulous little garden scenes, with animations. ![]()
The Herb Garden sits at 53 prims with a shovel and harvesting animation. The Flower Garden is 76 prims with a watering can and animation, and a flowerpot with flower to decorate elsewhere. Tomatoes only takes 37 prims – but they are big tomatoes! You also get a vine of them to hold.
Add an additional prop from the Wrigglesworth Residence product list – Mordechai’s Garden Hose – turn on and off the water, aim the water at your target, and water those gardens.
