Sugar Mill have just put out some new freebie poses available today, to honour the memory of Michael Jackson. So I went along to take a look at all the poses available. The RIP Michael Jackson four poses available in the box at the front door are from the 80’s MJ set and include MJ Toes, MJ Side view, MJ Ho! and MJ Beat it Cover.
The first thing to strike me was the large RFL lettering outside the store on the pier. This is available as an RFL item, and contains 11 poses within. Sugar Mill has another pose set for the RFL charity also.
Sugar Mill helpfully runs an update group through Subscribe-o-Matic, and for subscribing up, you get a free gift also. Outside on the pier there is also a large Love prop with poses, available for quite a nice price. Individual letters with poses are also available. The store also has some lucky boards, and is participating in a couple of hunts. I found the Storybook Hunt item easily enough and this is worth a hunt, as it’s based on the movie, Beauty and the Beast.
Although the store is under re-construction, there is still plenty to see. Known for it’s ‘Buddy Sets’ or couple or group sets, there are plenty of these at one end of the store. Quite a few of the poses instore also come with accompanying props – the SM – Tubein’ pose set comes with a beer bottle and the pose balls, although the television set and chair aren’t included.
Using the poses and taking a picture can get you a profiled photo in-store. How do you dork it up? Send your photos using SM poses through to the Sugar Mill owner, Anicia Medici.
There are a few props available, including some halloween and farm inspired ones, and some giant santa sacks. camp fires, gift boxes, a group breakdance prop floor, a giant egg to sit on, prop showers, and I loved the red stop sign from out of the Ghostbusters movie – which includes an invisi prim to take away your avatar legs from the prop scene. Unfortunately in posing on it, I realised my chest might need some slider adjustment to look good as a ghostie. There are other movie inspired props also.
The Brady-Bunch inspired nine-head prop frame is another great idea for that large group shot with a difference. There are quite a few group poses available at Sugar Mill.
Animation wise, check out the dart board prop which has 4 animations in it, including the bullseye where you fly gracefully smack into the middle of the board. And another favourite is the floating away on balloons pose– Up, Up and Away II.This comes with both an animation, causing you to actually float up, and a static pose ball, plus the wearable balloons.
As a final warning, don’t sit in the sandpit, it’s got one sit pose which freaked not only me out, but the person on the floor below me.

- NLimbo Custom Poses has just released a free Michael Jackson pose, and a free Farah Fawcett pose, get this at the front of the store. The store is this weekend holding a sale on poses also.
- Sugar Mill has also announced a weekend sale on poses, with 50% off. You won’t find them at the normal main store, however, but set out across the Prefab SIM of O Magine HomeWorks, which is also holding a large sale on prefabs and furniture.
