Avoid sent me some gifts. It’s very rare that I get anything sent to me, so I am extremely thankful at any time this happens. I tend to blog just because I like things and have purchased them. But knowing that I like Avoid, and have previously suggested I wanted the spongebob T-shirt, well….how could I not try these out?

As a side note – Second Life has been borked for me for a week now (and everybody), making it difficult to TP, purchase, or rez out assets sporodically. Although I’ve been around Second Life occasionally, I’ve not managed to catch up with many things, so apologies for the lateness in this post. I’ve been wearing spongebob for several days now (after some struggle to wear anything for a while, lol).
The Avoid Skybox
Okay, firstly I’m – for want of a better word – a skybox whore. I LuvLuvLuv skyboxes, so any free ones are gobbled up into my inventory, but firstly tried out if I have enough primage left on the parcel. So I am somewhat biased or rosey-coloured spectacled on the skybox front.
The Avoid Skybox is industrial chic at it’s best. It’s small, concrete and comfy. Consisting of one room with a modern fireplace and the box also has two large chunky shelves taking over that feature wall. Opposite, two high-intensity lit windows allow the sky to peep through. Above, a white glowing beam offers light for the whole room.
The shelving makes it useful for displaying many things, and the room is big enough to hold a loft set of furniture – bedroom and living areas, perhaps in a grunge or urban style. The texturing and lighting are extremely nice.
The skybox is 41 prims, and a good 20×20 size.
As I stood warming my backside against the fire, I realised I could show you my Avoid ‘spongebob; Tee also – kind of rough and ready as I just wore what I already had on. But the T-Shirt has remained on me for a full week of shopping since.
More Avoid Goodness
Avoid recently brought out a new group gift of a Rubik’s cube, which was taken off gift today, with a brand new one for a few quick enough after the group announcement. I happened to be there as they were putting it out (that’s Jayden, an Avoid owner, modeling the couch – they will start to think I’m stalking them at this rate, but it was purely coincidence as I was researching the skybox at the time for this blog post). The group gift, a Weener Couch is for fifty people only, so will probably be gone by the time you see this post – but the fabulous wooden choochoo set just put out is only L$250, so I bought that too. I love Christmas tree trains almost as much as Skyboxes.
