The main overall winner was Flame Forder, with an appropriately designed dragon in flame colourings. Second place went to PacificBlue Handy – according to the blog post. I’ve looked the name up, and can’t find Handy around in Second Life, so am making the hopeful presumption that my own entry of a dragon skin in Pacific Ocean blues and greens did in fact get a place in the winners. Third place went to Illdoran Nightfire.

Each of the winners receives a free Flame Dragon egg once beta goes into open for the Precious Dragons. Congratulations to Flame for her absolutely adorable and hot looking dragon queen and I seriously can’t wait to welcome the Flame Queen into my dragon family.

Entered textures actually become the possession of Precious Dragons. I am hoping that my own entry will at some point get them thinking about a series of Ocean Dragon Queens. Mine was a deep blue, jade and green, with sparkly silver and golds across the waters. An Atlantic Dragon might well be a darker grey-blue with spumes or drifts of white for the sea spray, whereas a Mediterranean Dragon Queen could have some luscious turquoise, jade, aquamarines and whites. And new slightly transparent textures for the wings? Ah, but I drift off…
